While most people would kill to go there, I am not sure...
There are a lot of things to consider in my decision. The cost of living is one and now the education. I am sure I can make it work. SD really wants to go and I know my kids would love it. I need to make the best decision for our family and my kids education....
I will assure you that I will blog about my adventures so that some Navy wife after me will have a FAQ sheet!!!

I am in the US Coast Guard and know the picture well. My wife and me PCS'd to Hawaii around July 2007. The cost of living is high, But it is manageable with the COLA allowance. Plus groceries can also be bought at the Pear Harbor Comissary at lower mprices. Also, If you have the oppertunity and choose to live off base in Hawaii you can find a pretty decent place that is less than the BAH or Housing allowance pays. As for the education...I have friends that worry about the Education, But they just spend more time going over over stuff with their kids and seem to be doing OK. Either way, Good Luck
